The Knowes Hotel Staff Celebrate Award Win

It was a night of glamour and celebrations for the owners and staff at The Knowes Hotel in Macduff as they were crowned Hotel of the North winners at the 2019 Scottish Hospitality Awards. The team travelled to Glasgow for the black-tie event at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow on Tuesday 21 May to celebrate the country’s hospitality industry. The night was sealed when The Knowes Hotel owners Wayne & Linda Stewart and their dedicated team scooped the award for Hotel of the North 2019. Wayne commented, “We travelled to Glasgow delighted just to have been selected as one of the esteemed hospitality businesses across Scotland, but to go ahead and win this award is a great achievement for every individual in the team who contributes to making The Knowes Hotel a successful and welcoming place for visitors from near and far. We have worked hard to reinvent the hotel and restaurant over the recent months and it’s really rewarding to see that hard work and dedication be recognised by our visitors.” Acknowledging the achievement of local professional and establishments across Scotland, the awards provide a platform to demonstrate thanks and praise across the diverse hospitality sector in Scotland. There were 32 accolades presented on the night, with all winners chosen by members of the general public, as a true reflection of the best the Scottish hospitality scene has to offer.
